Dark Horizon
The world of Dark Horizon pits the agents of the People for a UNified Tomorrow (PUNT) against the Talobar megacorp security forces. Agents and CorpGuard have surgically-implanted cyber-mods, including the latest twitch-muscle augmentation (TMA) to improve dexterity and reflexes, targeting eyes to improve accuracy in ranged weapon fire, and servos to improve strength.
The Dark Horizon name covers two impulse-based tactical cyber-punk combat games: Escape and Notice of Termination.
The impulse-based nature of the games means that both players are moving figures simultaneously so that neither player needs to
sit around waiting for the other to finish their turn. Notice of Termination is a stand-alone game but also an expansion to Escape.
For 2+ players | 30-90 minutes | Escape includes 10 metal minatures | UV-coated cards | 45 puzzle-cut floor tiles | 12 stand-up doors | 12 Close Combat cards | 4 dice | NoT just keeps adding to the goodness
In the darkest recesses of the Talobar laboratories, the MadDocs have come up with a creature that looks like a cross between a
giant rat and an alligator they call the Ratigator...
Escape includes rules for an array of conventional ballistic and laser
weapons, hand weapons such as batons and boot blades, and various types of
RinoHyde armor to ward off damage. The expansion rules in Notice offer Escape owners a whole new range of weapons, mods
and rules. The new pieces, when combined with Escape, allow players to
create larger games, with more ways to destroy your opponent.
